Role Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our vibrant and inclusive school community. The successful candidate will inspire students to achieve their best in mathematics while supporting their holistic development and contributing to our school's ethos of respect, tolerance, and lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities - Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality mathematics lessons that cater to a range of abilities and prior attainment levels.
- Foster a positive learning environment that promotes outstanding behaviour for learning.
- Encourage a love for mathematics and develop students' problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to support improvement and achievement.
- Contribute to the personal development of students, promoting respect, understanding, and tolerance of diverse cultures, faiths, and backgrounds.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student learning and wellbeing.
- Actively contribute to the school's ethos, supporting inclusivity, equal opportunities, and fundamental British values.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote students' understanding of their democratic rights, responsibilities, and the importance of community engagement.
Qualifications and Skills - A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
- A strong academic background in mathematics or a related discipline.
- Proven ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining high expectations for student behaviour and achievement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- A passion for fostering respect, tolerance, and inclusivity in education.
